The Gateway 12 in Mesa was designed by TK Architects. There is a slidshow with several photos here at the web site of Luke Draily Construction Co., the contractors.

B&B Theaters took over the Dickinson chain at some point-2014 maybe??? It says AMC took over in 2017, so did B&B operate it from 2014 to 2017 or was it someone else? Does anyone familiar with Mesa, AZ know??
Yes. They did.
I don’t know why two auditoriums housed a whopping 28 seats each. That got me laughing.
It was a pretty small theater to begin with but converting to recliners made it even smaller.

I don’t know why AMC decided to name it Superstition East when they annexed it, why add the east to the end of the name? Maybe there is someone out there that might know?
Likely because the more popular theatre in the area is the Harkins Superstition Springs on the west side of Mesa. If AMC just called it AMC Superstition people would get extra confused, so calling it Superstition East gives customers a fighting chance of differentiating the two.
