Opened October 27, 1997, this was the first all digital, THX-certified multiplex in Arizona. It is decorated in an elaborate fashion with extravagant use of color, shapes, and neon lights. There is also a projector above the box office playing trailers at night. This has been Arizona’s busiest theatre for the last few years, rivaling the AMC Mesa Grand 24. In 2003, 1.9 million moviegoers visited.

The Harkins Superstition Springs 25 was designed by Paul John Ladensack, of the Phoenix firm CCBG Architects. The design won an Award of Honor from the American Institute of Architects in 1998.

October 27th, 1997 grand opening ad in photo section. It claimed that it was the largest all THX cinema in the world.
Please rename theatre 5o Harkins Superstition Springs 25 and the theatre opend on October 17, 1997 not October 27. Grand opening ad uploaded in the photos section
Also, currently theatres 1 to 5 are currently closed, don’t know if they are getting new seating or just downsize.
