A movie theater under Dupont Circle?
WASHINGTON, DC — Discussion is happening again about a possible movie theater beneath Dupont Circle. While the neighborhood is itching for another theater, the cost of building one underground could prove to be too great.

Environmentally-friendly cinema
A group called One Way Theatre has been touring around the UK staging screenings powered by solar panels. They’re able to present a variety of films thanks to a system of panels on their van that are connected to batteries.

Nonprofit group brings movies back to FM
FORT MADISON, IA — A company called Lights, Camera, Action Inc., is bypassing the whole issue of there not being a theater in town by showing movies at a local playhouse. They’re working from the ground up on securing prints and venues and providing the entertainment free to the public.

Legal agreement forces Harkins Theatres to install technology for blind, deaf

Opening date and movies announced for Nordica
FREEPORT, ME — A new state-of-the-art cinema is opening up this Friday called the Nordica Theatre, in honor of its long gone predecessor. They’ll have digital projection, plush seating and the standard amenities.
