On May 17, 1974, the AMC East 4 cinema opened its doors in the Harrisburg area, boasting four screensโa pioneering move as the first multiplex cinema in the region. The establishment continued to expand, adding a fifth screen on December 31, 1975. However, after a successful run, it eventually closed its doors in November 1994. Another theatre in the mall opened on November 9, 2007, the Great Escape Harrisburg Mall 14 (which has its own page on Cinema Treasures).
