Eastway Plaza Cinemas also known as Plaza Cinemas, was a small 2 screen movie theatre located in the Eastway Plaza off of Route 20 on Buffalo Road. It was opened by Dipson Theatres on June 30, 1972 with Woody Allen in “Play It Again Sam” & Dustin Hoffman in “The Graduate”. It was closed in 1997. It reopened in 2003 and finally closed in 2005.
As of 2020, the Eastway Plaza was renamed to Giant Eagle Plaza and the old movie theatre location was split into 2 spaces. The right side of the movie theatre is now a Snap Fitness and the left side is still vacant, gutted and abandoned. The Snap Fitness was closed in December 2022.

This theater closed down in 2005 and was left abandoned until it was cut in half, the left side remains vacant and the right side opened as a Snap Fitness in 2012.
the Dipson’s Eastway I-II opened on June 30th, 1972 with “Play it again, Sam” and “The Graduate”. Grand opening ad posted.
Snap Fitness is now permanently closed, leaving this theater completely vacant once again.
