The Open Air Drive-In was opened by 1952 and was operated by James Nadeau. It had a capacity of 600 cars. In 1956 it was renamed Newington Outdoor Theatre and was owned and operated by W. Morrison.
The drive-in sat on the west side of Highway 16 just north of Newington where it remained opened into the 1980’s until it was closed and demolished.
Today, part of the property is being used by a business, but you can still see the outline of the ramps on the back half of the property despite being covered by trees.

In 1956 the Newington Drive-In was first listed as open along with the Open-Air Drive-In unless they were one in the same. The Open-Air is no longer listed after 1956 just the Newington.
Originally Called The Open-Air Drive-In. And By The Early 1960s It Changed Its Name To The Newington Outdoor Theatre.
The property is now a turnpike maintenance facility for the New Hampshire Department of Transportation.
Unfortunately, Google Maps still does not have an accurate address for it. There is also no trace of the drive-in remaining.
