Built in 1929 as an auto-dealership. The Roxy Theatre was opened on February 15, 1935 with Joan Blondell in “Convention City” plus vaudeville on the stage. It was modernised and reopened on November 2, 1950 with Jane Powell in “Nancy Goes to Rio” & Gerald Mohr in “The Lone Wolf in London”. It was independently operated until June 1966 when Odeon-Morton Theatres Ltd. of Winnepeg took over. It was closed on May 20, 1977. It was destroyed in a 3am fire on December 30, 1977.

The Roxy was once part of the Odeon Theatres (Canada) circuit through its regional partner Odeon-Morton Theatres in its later years. It has long since been demolished since its closure, as a Google Maps search in the area of 12th and South Broad turned up no sign of the former theatre.
According to the following articles from the Regina Leader-Post (one of which is also posted in the article photo section), the Roxy was destroyed by fire on December 30, 1977:
