I couldn’t find the exact opening date but the Baker Theatre was open by 1920. It was located on S. Pearl Street, just off Main Street. At that time it was operated by Saenger Theatres followed by a parnership of Publix & Saenger. Paramount operated the theatre thru 1961 and then Gulf States operated it until its closing. Seating was listed at 1,100.
The theatre changed names to the Baker Grand Theatre. I did find that it was built by the Baker family.
The Baker Grand Theatre closed in 1969 and housed the Michael Baker Corp. and Natchez Veterans Servies Offices. It has since been demolished.

Function should be office space, based on the description.
This picture is of the Eola Hotel, located a couple of blocks from where the Baker Grand once proudly stood. The theatre was build in 1902-03 as an opera house and converted to a movie theatre later. Sadly, it was torn down in 1972 or 73. A horrible building stands on the spot now. Maybe the site was cursed by the destruction of the theatre because nothing on that spot has been a success. Feel free to contact me if you want to discuss. Wayne
If you link to the postcard of the Baker Grand Theatre, click on “previous” to see another postcard of the same building, but called OPERA HOUSE.
Needs to be listed as demolished.
