The main entrance to the orchestra section of this theater was on Galiano, two doors south from the America theater, the entrance to the dizzyingly steep balcony was on Neptuno Street. I remember seeing “The Heiress” there with Olivia de Havilland in that do with her hair parted in the middle and Montgomery Clift, and Argentinean film “Piel de Zapa” with Hugo del Carril and Aída Luz.
This theater was inaugurated in 1947, located on San Rafael between Consulado and Industria, next to Rex Cinema and part of the complex. It showed “Intermezzo” with Ingrid Bergman and Leslie Howard.

They had three showings on Sunday, the matinee about 1:00, the “tanda” with a double feature at about 4:00 and the “evening” at about 7:00. You could go in at 1:00 for 25¢ and stay for 6 hours, even 9. It showed “Locura de Amor” with Aurora Bautista and Fernando Rey, which I didn’t see because it was banned for minors.
