Located in the Santos Suarez district to the south of the city centre. The Cine Florida was opened in 1950 with “Apertura” and “Torbellino”. It was still operating in 1958.

This movie theater was on 10 de Octubre between Vía Blanca and Serafines, near the Plazoleta de Agua Dulce. It opened with the Spanish comedy “Torbellino” with Estrellita Castro and Manuel Luna. Its owners were Sergio and Raquel Cartaya and Mario Obregón. It showed “The Outlaw” with Jane Russell, “Bitter Rice” with Silvana Mangano.
