“Nina and Glenn Froehlich, who worked for the California Electric Power Company (later to become Edison Company), were married in 1933.
The couple moved to Idyllwild with their two children in 1941 to live in the power company house to provide electric service to the 200 customers of that time.
In 1949, Nina Mae and Glenn began spending their weekend evenings running the first theatre in Idyllwild at the present Silver Pines Lodge. They completed construction of the Rustic Theatre in 1952 and moved the operation to its present location. This was a “side job” to their primary employment with Edison Company which continued to serve the growing communities of Idyllwild, Pine Cove, Garner Valley and Anza.
In 1962, Nina Mae and her husband retired from the Edison Company and sold the Rustic Theatre in order to give full attention to the Idyllwild Inn, which they had purchased from owner Jerry Johnson. For the next 18 years, they refurbished the buildings and enjoyed the “innkeeping” business until their final retirement in 1980.

“In its release, the company alluded to ongoing challenges and “circumstances beyond our control” as leading to the decision. Specifically, Dipson Theatres cited issues with a “leaky roof” within the theater at the Chautauqua Mall.
“We recognize that the leaky roof has been an inconvenience to you, our valued customers, and we deeply apologize for any discomfort it may have caused during your visits to our establishment,” Dipson said.
“Your support has meant so much to us, and we are genuinely sorry that we can no longer provide you with the quality service and experience that you deserve. Please know that this decision was not made lightly.”

A 4-alarm fire erupted at the historic Enean Theater in Pittsburg, creating chaos and a challenging scenario for the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District (Con Fire) firefighters, who responded swiftly to the emergency.

According to the O'Reilly Site and also Google Maps, this is still an active location.
However the autoparts company lists the address as 1558 S King Street, and is listed as Punahou Auto Service (the cross st)
That gets one to wonder, did Roger contact KTLA, KNX, KABC, etc with this issue if it is ruffling his feathers so. If you’ve not been paying attention, the media gets ALOT wrong of late, and do not give a tinker’s cuss about it.
The marquee is still in tact, but now displays “Giovanna’s Goodies” Offering everything from empanadas to hot dogs. There is a Mr Softee in one of the storefronts further down, which plays that haunting melody as you walk by.
