When I researched this DI it is listed as 1526 Parkview. But, if you look at the maps it is located at 1206 Alabama St… Parkview is Side Street that runs parallel north of Alabama St. I was thinking the street name was changed years ago. I called the St Joe City street deptment about the addresses. I talked to a gentleman that used to go to the drive-in in the late 1950’s. He said the Parkview address might have been a mailing address? Maybe it is a misprint on advertising and nobody bother to change it. He said 1206 Alabama is the correct address for the drive-in. Also, he said there is other address’s in St. Joe that are off also like that.
@JeffNrtn That is the only picture I have. I don’t know for sure that is the Dennis..my thinking it is. It is very early because they don’t have in-a-car speakers yet. Remember the drive-in could have changed and as kids you look at everything different.
Thanks Steve for the great pictures and information.
Nice postcard Don
The tornado was May of 1980.
I could not find the Vista DI listed on CT.
I uploaded the correct aerial. The other one is for the Vista DI. It needs to be removed.
Uploaded Aerials from 1958 and 2012.

Uploaded the opening day ad from April 1 1953. In Jan 3, 1957 it was sold by Berk Kruingold to Cinema Circuit.
I think there is some confusion between the Sunset and Elk Drive-Ins here.
