The Family Drive-In was located in Mundy’s Corner which was a community of the city of Nanty Glo. It was opened August 29, 1948 with Penny Singleton and Arthur Lake in “Blondie’s Big Moment”. It was operated by Gus Vaveris. It was a typical single screen drive-in with the exception of having a grassy area for outside viewing complete with umbrellas and a gazebo.
In 1986 it was taken over by the Free Indeed Ministries and from then on it played G Rated and religious films. It was still open in August 1983.

A more accurate address for this theater is 605 Pike Rd. Johnstown PA 15909. Penzoil was the exit road for this theater. Most ramps, concession building foundation and entrance road are still visible. There are several buildings on the property.
