The Lucky 13 Drive-In was opened in 1952 and was operated by W.O. Woody. It was closed in the late-1980’s.

Approx. location for this drive-in was W Broadway & N Lemmon Ave. The drive-in stood at the end of N. Lemmon.
The ramps are still visible. The concession/projection building appears to still be there.

I was the last owner of this drive in back in 1987 before it ceased operations. I would have continued operations but the land owner sold it out from under me (I had a lease to own contract). They were planning to build a new bowling alley/entertainment center on the property, but that never happened. I believe it was built in 1953. The projection system was a 2 projector system that required switchovers after each reel. The lamps were carbon arc.
Odd name!! Why was it called Lucky 13?
Davidcoppock, it was located just off Highway 13 on Highway 32. I always thought the 13 referred to the nearby highway.
