AD FOR BIJOU THEATRE MORNINGSIDE PLAZA

Located on the east side of Morningside Avenue south of Kingston Road, it was nestled between two strip malls where the Morningside Mall now sits. It was the only movie theatre in West Hill in the 1970’s. It was built in 1969 or 1970 and closed in 1977 to make way for Morningside Mall.

Mostly second run movies as I remember. Two screens. It was never really full as far as I remember.

I think the proximity of the first-run Cedarbrae Cinema (two miles west) took a lot of customers away.
