Scarborough Town Centre was constructed by Oxford Properties and opened in 1973. Cineplex Odeon opened the theatre on April 16, 1981 inside the mall with 12 auditoriums and 1,212 seats. The lowest seat count was 63 in Cinema #7 and higher count of 176 in Cinema #5.
With the expansion of Scarborough Town Centre, Famous Players opened the 12-theatre Coliseum in 1998. Because of the struggles and lack of competition, Cineplex Odeon elected to close the theatre on December 30, 2000 and has since been occupied by several Gap stores. At the time of its closure, it was the second largest theatre in Scarborough.
In 2005, Cineplex acquired Famous Players (along with Coliseum Scarborough) signalled its return to the mall since 2000.

EDIT: Cineplex Corporation operated this theatre prior to the merger with Canadian Odeon in 1984.
This theatre opened on April 16, 1981. Its opening movies were Tribute, The Jazz Singer, Stir Crazy, Melvin (and Howard), Airplane, The Changeling, The Incredible Shrinking Woman, Popeye, Superman, Flash Gordon, Breaker Morant, and Rockers. I have no idea what exact date this theatre closed because I want to know its final (second-run) movies.
Grand opening ad posted. It closed in 2000 after losing out to the new cinema next door.
This theatre closed on December 30, 2000.
