A second 1,000-seat Airdome opened near downtown Allentown on May 11, 1912, at the corner of 6th Street and Allen Street just north of downtown by former manager and owner of the Nickelet Theatre, C.A. Gwynne. The second Airdome caused the closure of its first one at Central Park in the Rittersville neighborhood, which operated for three seasons between 1909 and 1911. This was very short-lived and closed around 1913.

However, in mid-1914, a third Airdome was officially planned and erected at the corner of Chestnut Street and South Fourth Street, not in Allentown but south of the city in Emmaus, known as the Snyder lot, but that idea was completely dismantled on July 17 of that year by its contractor.
