The Regent Theatre was opened Friday 6th June 1958 by Kerridge Odeon. Closed 1985. After the theatre closed it was stripped out and used as a TV studio for local productions and commercials. It looks different now as shops and apartments were added onto the front when it closed down in the late-1980’s.
