Located in the Queensgate Shopping Centre, Lower Hutt, to the northeast of Wellington. The Event Cinemas was closed after being badly damaged in the November 2016 Kaikoura earthquake.
It was replaced by a new Event Cinemas Queensgate & IMAX which opened on 15th December 2022. (It has its own page on Cinema Treasures).
