The Alamo Drafthouse dine-in cinema opened on December 3rd, 2019. It was closed in March 16, 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In early-2023 it was taken over the the local Majestic Theatres chain and reopened as the Majestic Gilbert 8.

Over Covid, the three Alamo Drafthouses in the Phoenix area left the chain and formed their own chain, Majestic Theaters. The theater is now Majestic Gilbert 8.
