Branson Drive-In

The Branson Tri Lakes News obituary for Ruth Edwards on January 27, 2015, said that she and husband Norman Edwards “had built and operated the only drive-in theater in Branson in 1955”. The Branson Drive-In was opened on May 15, 1955 with a capacity of 100, owner Norman Edwards.

The October 12, 1969 Springfield Leader and Press reported “BRANSON - The drive-in theater on Mo. 76, west of here, has been sold by Norman Edwards to Roger Iverson and Frank Rogers, … (who) own a stuffed animal museum in Oregon”.

The site became The Ozark Museum of Wildlife, then the 76 Mall entertainment center, and is now Grand Country Fun Spot.
