Orpheum Theatre

The 900-seat Orpheum Theatre was opened on February 4, 1915 with Max Figman in “The Hoosier Schoolmaster”. It was equipped with a 3 manual pipe organ (make unknown). By 1941 the Orpheum Theatre was operated by Paramount Pictures Inc. through their subsidiary Frank Walker. By 1950 it was operated by Comerford Theaters Inc. It was closed in November 1953.

It was demolished in late-February 1957

The Orpheum Theatre opened its doors on February 4, 1915 with Max Figman in “Hoosier Schoolmaster” plus a live orchestral concert and a three-manual pipe organ performance. It was closed in November 1953 and demolished in late-February 1957.
