The Dixie Drive-In was opened by 1955 when it was operated by J.L. Lightfoot.
In 2016 only the projection box and concession building is standing.

A slightly closer address (at least for Google) is 11115 Texas 36, Gatesville, TX 76528. The drive-in was located just to the east of this address on the north side of the road.
Today, you can still see the projector booth/concession stand, ramps, and screen foundation. http://tinyurl.com/jypucg4
Considering how the ramps have faded, the size of the two trees near what is left of the concession stand/projector booth, And a 1981 aerial that shows many more trees on the property, this drive-in has been closed for some time.
