Strand Theatre

The Strand Theatre was opened on January 5, 1935 with Randolph Scott in “The Mysterious Rider”. It could accommodate 405 patrons. It was owned by Mr. James Heard who had theatres throughout Southwestern Louisiana. The theatre closed in the mid-1960’s. The building is now occupied by the Southwestern Louisiana Vet. Clinic.
