The Natur-Vue opened on May 10, 1947 with an advertisement in the Lewiston Tribune that read: “Lewiston’s First and Original Open Air Theatre.” The listed address in the newspaper at the time was 2714 North and South Highway. The opening program was Stanley Brown in “Sing, Neighbor, Sing” & Lynne Roberts in “Girls of the Big House”.
On May 22, 1947 a competing nearby drive-in named the Auto-Vue opened. After the 1950 season the Natur-Vue’s advertisement disappeared from the Tribune and later stories referred to it as closed.
Today the site is approximately where the Idaho State Police have their headquarters.
