Pleasant Hill Drive-In

Opened September 1, 1950 with Dan Dailey in “A Ticket to Tomahawk”, the Pleasant Hill Drive-In, might have had a name change after the late-1950’s. Anyway I have parking at 750 cars and owned by Robert P. MacLary. It was closed on January 1, 1984.

I have, in my notes, a date of 1985 for the closing of Pleasant Hill Drive In. I didn’t note where I got that date. Can anyone confirm?

The Pleasant Hill Drive-In closed for the final time on January 1, 1984 with a triple-feature. The final films played there were “Staying Alive”, “Flashdance”, and “Classroom Teasers” as its last attraction.

My father ran the little gasoline powered train, kept in the little building to the left of the marquee in ‘62 - '63. They stopped running it when the engine gave out.

Does that little train still survive?
