I do believe the building still stands as a muffler shop. From the look of the Al Martin’s repair shop it stands in the same location of the former cinema.

it actually closed later than that. i saw Jurassic Park 2 there, my husband saw Jerry Maguire. So it was still open as of 96/97.
At some point it became a second run theater, or the ‘dollar fifty’ theater as my family called it. it closed after a fire.

I saw a lot of movies at this theater when I was kid. I remember watching Godzilla 1985 there, for the first half of the movie there was no sound, when I complained the staff had nothing to say. They didn’t offer passes to another movie and not even much of an apology. When I was in college in the early 90s it was a second run theater, I remember seeing Cool World there…

A little more information about this theater: AMC bought-out Budco in 1987. AMC closed the theater on Feb. 12, 1993, due to declining revenue. Two former managers of the theater, Mike Finochiaro and Francis Glynn, reopened the theater on Apr. 02, 1993, and it remained open until Aug. 04, 1998, when a devastating fire destroyed the theater. See the news article I just added t the photos section here.
