A c1920 picture postcard views the Odeon Theatre marquee and blade sign on East Main Street, four doors east of Broadway. Today a new Dollar General Store stands on this site.
Still operating as the Odeon Theatre in 1943, by 1950, it had been re-named Jake Theatre.
That’s all I know about the Odeon/Jake Theatre for now, if you know more please jot it down.

Could have been named the Jake as early as 1945?
Open ~1955? Can anyone verify the exact dates?
Owned by Momand Theaters, Inc. in 1930.
Photos are always welcome.

Johnny H. Jones and Ruby Jones bought the theatre circa 1945, remodeled and re-named it the JAKE in honor of their father, Jake Jones, Sr. The Jones family also operated the Ritz Theatre, one block west on Main Street Shawnee at the same time.
