Opened in 1982 by Martin Theatres, It was taken over by Carmike Cinemas in 2000, and was renovated in 2005, with all new fixtures and stadium seating and two more screens added.
Spotlight Theatres took over in 2008. In a small town like Cordele, GA, this location is something you would expect to find in a major metropolitan city. Must see to appreciate.

Nice looking theatre for Cordele,Georgia at lest one can escape the gnats in the Summer there in a nice theatre,Maybe Spotlight theatres will keep it up compared to a lot of Carmike Locations I have seen in Smaller towns.Thanks Joe for getting it on and CWalczak for the picture.
I remember doing PM work at this theater’s projectors back in the 90’s. This was back when Carmike owned it. I was talking to the manager in the lobby and he suddenly made a wide circle around a newly installed patch of carpet. I asked him about it and he said, quite matter-of-factly, “That’s where the previous manager got shot.”
