Woods Theatre

Located on Main Street, the Circle Theatre was opened prior to 1926 when it was listed with 290 seats. By 1931 it was listed with 300 seats.

It had been renamed Woods Theatre by 1931, still with 300 seats. By 1941 it had increased its seating capacity to 690. The Woods Theatre was still open in 1957.

“Cordele, Ga. — F. J. Wood, owner of Wood’s theater, Vienna, Ga., assumed management last week of the Circle here which he recently purchased.”
