Located in the district of Winnersh, close to Wokingham and 5-miles east of Reading town centre. The 12-screen Showcase Cinemas opened on 15th November 1996 and was built for the National Amusements Co. of the U.S.A. It had an original seating capacity of 2,772. The building is constructed in brick and has two levels, with 8-screens on the ground floor and 4-screens on the first floor. There is a 54 feet high glass atrium which runs through the building. In 2000, an additional 2-screens were added to the first floor. The Showcase Cinemas are surrounded by a large circular car park.
Seating capacities in the screens range from 433, down to 144. In September 2015 it was re-named Showcase Cinema de Lux.
