News About This Theater
- Dec 14, 2007 — Many Brussels Cinemas added to Cinema Treasures
The Forum Cinema was located in the Molenbeek district of Brussels. It opened in 1921 and has a facade described as ‘typical of the style in fashion just after the First World War’.
Seating was provided in stalls and balcony, which had side slips extending to the proscenium. These slips were cut back in 1956, possibly to fit in a wide-screen.
The Forum Cinema closed in 1973 and became a furniture store on the ground floor and a wallpaper shop on the first floor. When seen in May 2012, the entire building was a furniture store. Nothing remains on view of the original cinema decorations. The furniture store, known as Tax Free Company still operates in 2024.

The Forum is now a warehouse or storagedepot for several local companies or shops I believe, but the facade is still in tact, the name can still be read.
