Very nice design. Not much frontage to work with, so the designer expressed himself through the verical sign.

Had the pleasure to tour the Mack recently. While it is in need of some restoration it is a beautiful theater. There is some water damage to the ceiling in the auditorium and the hall leading from the lobby but nothing a new roof won’t fix and some plaster repair. Not to serious. Big lobby and big 700 seat auditorium. Needs new drapes and some cleaning but otherwise could be a great classic house. The owner is interested in getting it reopened if someone has a good business plan and the money to revamp the interior. We can only hope.

I worked at the Mack in the early to mid 1960s. No ghosts at that time :)

Does the Mack have a stage? I have restored theatres in the past for combination live-stage and film (and film festivals). I have seen the (outside) Mack many times. When in McMinville, I used to get coffee and rolls at the coffee house that was, or still is on the corner; across the street (U.S. Bank on another corner). If it has a stage and someone has the owners contact information, please forward it to me. Don

No stage to speak of. Just enough room for the screen and speakers and a couple of feet in front of the curtain.
