The Pix was operated by Leonard E. Boyd. He was the first manager of the theater. Next door was the first Ice Cream Bar opened by his wife, Ann Boyd after she went to a dairy school to learn about ice cream. Mr. Boyd traveled the Carolina’s and Florida opening theaters for B&B.
