The Strand Theatre was a medium-sized theatre in the heart of Montreal. It was built in 1912 and in 1926 was listed with 1,200 seats. By the 1960’s it had been renamed Pigalle Theatre and operated into the 1970’s.

There are some lengthy exterior night scenes of the STRAND Theatre in the 1958 film “Intent to Kill” (The STRAND was playing “Rodan” during the filming.)

A thumbnail biography of architect Daniel John Crighton on this web page says that the Strand Theatre was built in 1912.
