My boyfriend and I went to the Regal the other day and we were talking to guy at the concession stand about the Masters and he said that Regal Entertainment bought out Georgia Theatre Comapany recently and they are in the prcoess of switching their theaters to Regal. He also said that the Masters wont be open much longer because they dont pull in enough money to justify keeping it open…meanwhile the prices at the Evans will be raising to Regal prices…This really saddened us. I hope they do decide to keep this place open. You cant beat a $2.50 movie and they have such yummy popcorn too. It’d be a shame to see it go…
My summer camp used to take movie trips here when I was younger. I remember once they took the younger kids to see Disney’s Dinosaur and us kids 10 and older got to see Big Momma’s House lol. I also remember my mom’s friend pulling her niece and I out of school early to see the Flintstones here lol.I tried to buy popcorn from here once and I didnt have the quarter I needed to complete the transaction, so the concession lady gave me the popcorn and said that I had to pay the quarter back the next time I came lol. Theater closed before I could go back though.
I always liked coming here to see movies and I was sad when it closed down. At 99 cents a seat you couldnt beat it. Makes me remember all the movies I saw here in my elementary days. lol I remember when my dad took my younger sister and I to see Pokemon the First Movie(shows how young I am lol) here and it was packed to the brim!
