I would submit that the Penn and Circus Drive-In are not only the same, but the Ford Drive-In which only lasted a few years is the one on the south side. This is because the drive-in with the screen is found on a 1974 topo map.

In looking at a 1951 aerial photo, it certainly looks like the drive in could hold more than 75 cars. However, it is on the small side. Rough guess: 150 – 200 cars.
Plus, a 1971 aerial photo shows the drive-in looking fairly well kept. It may have been closed for 11 years, but everything was still up and the property mowed.

The Admiral Twin in Tulsa is one. It was featured in the film “The Outsiders” although that particular screen burned down in 2009. A metal one replaced it and the drive in is still open today.
Today, Melrose High School sits on the property, but you can still see the old entrance road, some of the ramps, and the foundation for the marquee.
