The decision to upgrade BigD to a Dolby Cinema allowed AMC DINE-IN Thoroughbred 20 to have the biggest capacity of any Dolby Cinema in the US. Not that important, but thought it was worth knowing :-)
4DX officially opens in auditorium 11 tomorrow night, with its opening coinciding with the wide release of Joker: Folie à Deux. It has a capacity of 136, reducing the overall capacity by 79 to a new total of 4,816.
Regal is also planning to add recliners to most of the auditoriums. They’re also planning to update the lobby and hallways to match Regal’s design philosophy, similar to what they did for Regal Irvine Spectrum.
This is being converted into an Alamo Drafthouse.
It will retain its 14 auditoriums and seat 993 people.
Each auditorium will be equipped with digital 4K projection and surround sound.
It is set to open in late October of 2024, per Alamo’s careers page.

It is indeed closed, per the AMC website. AMC has only two 4-screens in operation now, and both were hand-me-downs, just like this one.
