At rivest256, I had the ad but forgot to post it. Good resource for Nassau/Suffolk theatres is Newsday. You need a proquest subscription through the New York Public Library or any library on the island if you live their.
The theatre open in 1977 as 4 screens, BS Moss (aka Bow Tie) added two screens in June 1986. Please look at the display ads in the photos. Alamo kept the 6 screens when they took over in 2013.

That why theatres ate reserved seating. I never had a problem, saw about 30 pictures there, only sell only Born on the Fourth of July

It should be called Loews Astor Plaza, that was the name as a very popular movie theatre
