Hey Lee. I was one of the RHPS regulars back in the mid-1980s (along with Betzi and the Celluloid Jam). I enjoyed your comment and would love to read your script some day. The best part about being in the cast was getting to hang out in the Oriental every weekend. It’s such an amazing theater.
Building is still sitting empty and boarded up. From the front doors, you can still see that the lobby (and concession stand) are still intact. New photo posted today.
On the FindAGrave website, I found information about Charles E. Lane who owned and operated the Rem Theater. The article says the theater was at the corner of Ohio and South Streets in Remington.
Here is the information on Mr Lane.
I recently visited Remington and found the theater has been torn down. It looks like the small building (seen to the right of the theater in both links above), which is now the home to the Pizza King (105 S. Ohio St.), has expanded to occupy the theater’s land.
This building must have been demolished. The Cicero Recovery Club is at 5215 W. 25th Street. The GreenChoice Bank (which looks like a new building) is at 5225 W. 25th Street. Between these two buildings is a parking lot.
In the book “Historic Movie Theatres of Wisconsin” (by Konrad Schiecke) the address for the Oshkosh Theatre is listed as 427 N. Main Street (on this page it is listed as 157 N. Main St.). This would put the theatre a few buildings away from the Time Theatre. This address is currently a True Value Hardware Store. I’ve uploaded a recent photo of this store.
The Rialto’s address cannot be 605 S. Broadway. A Family Eye Care Center is next door to the left of the theatre at 644 S. Broadway; a CPA is two store fronts down at 650 S. Broadway; and the Coal City Cleaners is to the right of the theater at 634 S. Broadway. The theatre should be approximately 640 S. Broadway St.

There is now a vacant lot at this address which is next to the South Bend State Bank building (at 911 S. Michigan Street).
The Edna Theater, at 108 E. Eighth Street, Gibson City, IL is now a Masonic Temple.

The book “Historic Movie Theatres of Wisconsin” by Konrad Schiecke lists this theater at 926 Milwaukee Ave.
The theater was run by Robert Kramer when it was destroyed by fire on Sunday, January 20, 1924.
This theater closed on November 6, 2008. I just uploaded a recent photo of the closed theater.
This building currently houses The Eyeglass Shoppe which is at 502 Main Street, Marseilles.

The mall and theater have been demolished. There is just an empty lot now. The Jewel/Osco next door to the mall is still there.

The address listed above must be incorrect. 13115 is the Cyprus Long Bar and is across the street. The Opera House should be an even number.
