The only part of the drive-in remaining now, is a single poplar tree to the south of the Baton Rouge Motel, that was once a line of poplar trees behind the drive-in’s screen.

The shot of Marilyn Monroe been filmed outside this theater, for the movie, “The seven year itch,, was the first take of the scene(the second take was filmed at the movie studio). Both takes are in the movie.

Opened as the Palmetto Drive-in on 15/12/1962 with a colour cartoon(not named), “The barefoot mailman” and “A day with the FBI”. Opened as Skyway Drive-in on 25/3/1970 with “Rosemary’s baby”, “Romeo & Juliet” and “Riot”

Corection, the Lumina Pavilion opened in june 1904, not 1940.

The Lumina Pavilion opened in june 1940(hear the last stop on the local tram line(closed in 1940?)). The Lumina Pavilion was damaged in 1954 by huricane Hazel(may have closed before then in the early 1950’s?. Demolished in may 1973(along with the screen?). The site is now condominiums. Smallest movie screen in the World?
