The one was located at 102 E 22nd St, Stuttgart, AR 72160. It’s present in a 1955 aerial image. Site is now occupied by Farmers and Merchants Bank and Dean’s Pharmacy.

The above address is actually not accurate, at least not with Google. A better address would be 21 Southwicke Dr, Streamwood, IL 60107. This maps to Southwicke Park which is in the middle of the housing estate that was built on the drive-in location.

Now a housing estate with some of the best street names ever, Devito St, Eastwood Avenue and Indiana Jones Avenue.

Closed by 1965, a topo map from that year actually says “drive-in theater (abandoned)”. Its now a vacant tree filled lot.

The closest address for this one is 1337 Broadway Rd, Sanford, NC 27332. The drive-in was located to the left of East Lee Middle School where the Sanford Bypass now is. It also looks like this had 2 screens in a 1983 aerial photo. The remains of the drive-in sat there until around 1999-2000ish when it was cleared for the freeway.

The opening capacity was probably 67 cars but it was expanded, there are more ramps in a 1962 aerial photo.

Now Knoll’s Ready Mix, as noted above the site appears pretty much still complete in a 2016 aerial photo with screen, concession building and ticket box still present.

The closest address is 1349 Selms Rd, Bridger, MT 59014. It was located opposite this address with the rocky cliffs behind it, hence the name of Rim Rock. It can be seen in 1957 and 1976 topo maps. There’s now a residence on the property.

How many drive-in’s did this town have? This is the only one listed on here, anyway there was a drive-in situated just north of Louisville. The address seems to be 3233 U.S. 221, Louisville GA. The remains can be seen in a 1981 aerial, it now seems to be a private residence but the concession building might remain on the site.

The “Parking Palace” from the late 30’s was actually located further up the road at the site where the Buckhead Crossing shopping mall is. Its in a 1938 aerial image and only had about 4 rows of ramps.

kennerado commented about Penn Drive-In on May 18, 2020 at 10:58 pm

Found it, was technically located in Pennville, just outside Summerville hence the name “Penn Drive-In”. Approximate address now is Underwood Dr & Martha Berry Hwy, Pennville GA 30753. It’s in a 1964 aerial and a 1968 topo but only ramp markings remained by 1981. Underwood drive didn’t exist when the drive-in was open. Now a vacant tree-filled lot however the cement base of the marquee may be the last thing left.

The “new” version of this may be a portable job with inflatable screen being run on the roof of a shopping mall.

kennerado commented about Moonlite Drive-In on May 16, 2020 at 4:57 am

Closed before 1980, a topo from 1982 says its still there but the 1980 aerial tells a different story showing the factory that’s on the site today.
