basically it’s exclusive footage you don’t get anywhere else i guess? (like John Wick VR which sounds badass af tbh) Pretty weird idea, but I guess it would be profitable because people love vr and the headsets are like 1,000 dollars. It’s better to pay for a smaller price like 30-50 dollars than 1k. This won’t even take up theater space either so it should just be a IMAX side project.
I think they should upgrade this IMAX screen to laser projection. The screen is about 6 stories tall if i remember correctly. However it seems like AMC has some deals with IMAX for laser projection so maybe it won’t be as soon as I hope.
It seems like this theater was permanently closed
@bigjoe it is playing in both 3d and 2d here.
…. WHAT
Update they are still showing 70mm IMAX in 2017 HELL YEAH!!
I think the mysterious thing may be a laser imax upgrade

Virtual Reality man… it’s the future? Like you put on a headset. and you get into the reality or something.
@moviebuff so uhh what’s your source
@xbs2034
IMAX VR is literally in a regular room. They won’t need to edit auditoriums or anything. But yay there may be a new york location for IMAX VR!
Ayy I was in Aventura a few weeks back
rivest how do you find so many pictures of theater grand opening ads. they’re cool and i’m just wondering.
Apparently the IMAX screen is a Liemax screen.
@Kris I wish they still did that :(
They stopped a year or two back iirc
