Fiddler opened June 27th at the Virginia Theater in Atlantic City NJ.It was Reserved performances. Can you add the above information to that page too.
From what I heard on the news last night everyone indoors in NY is required to wear a mask no matter what the vaccinations status was. I thought Broadway has had mandatory masks no matter what your vaccination status is.
She was talking about directing for the first time. The movie opens Friday and will be on Netflix the end of the month. It’s called the Lost Daughter with Olivia Coleman.
The local Regal here told me that they are removing all box offices in all their theaters and replacing them with Kiosks. That pisses me off because it take away jobs
I will ask again since I never got an answer 10 years ago, was this a roadshow house? Doctor Zhivago was and I can assume by the picture Lawrence Of Arabia was
We spent August 1966 in Wildwood. The Casino had Whose Afraid Of Virginia Wolf. The Ocean had just opened that year and had The Sound Of Music. The Shore had How To Steal A Million, The Regent had Doctor Zhivago (roadshow) The Blaker had Caprice with Doris Day and the Strand had Family Plot which transferred to the Shore. I saw Jesus Christ Superstar at this theater in 1973.
Rhett52. I had that happen twice at Cinemark Here in Asheville. They get the digital feed from Fathom events and sometimes it doesn’t make it to all the theater.
The local Cinemark here is awesome. As movie buff82 said it’s amazing. Regal and AMC have yet to open the box offices even on weekends and it makes the concession stand lines ridiculous
The Frank Theater chain was beyond a disaster and horrible company. Once they got their hands on the Ocean City, Wildwood and Cape May theater they ruined them. So glad they went bankrupt

It was painful to see all the theaters in Philly AC and NYC demolished. AC slowly died once the casino’s came in. The Virginia closed at the end of 73 and didn’t reopen because the government bought the block. I never understood that because everything else stayed open for years on that block. The only thing I can think was Hamid’s lease ran out, but he also closed the Roxy too. The Apollo closed in mid August when their lease ran out with the roadshow engagement of Last Tango In Paris. It was moved to the Margate but not roadshow.
Vindanpar I am sorry I just saw your comment from January 2020. I saw Dolly originally in Philly at the Randolph when it was a roadshow engagement. The Randolph was a Cinerama theater so it had an amazing curved screen and gold curtains. The next film to play after Dolly was the than x rated I A Woman. They than got Tora Tora Tora another roadshow engagement and 6 months later it was demolished for a parking lot. So sad
The mall also had a dinner theater. The one time I was there the Gateway had the Dolly Parton movie Rhinestone
I find the marquee very interesting
How sad. I have been to this theater twice and it was very well run and maintained

The only thing that was in there for years after they closed was John’s Bargain Store than a beauty supply.

I thought that might be the case. It’s sad they closed.

Nick I am surprised digital projection didn’t at least have some scope capabilities
Awesome news. I wil have to drive up and support them
Change status to closed
When it was demolished it became a Popeye’s chicken before it was a McDonald’s. Saw two movies there Darby O Gill And The Little People and 2001.

Why United Artists would rename this theater the UA Twin after decades as the Rivoli is beyond me. I lived in NYC when they did it. SMH
When I went to Inverness 83-2005 the theater had another name. It had the velvet curtains than but no masking.
This was the last film to play before they closed for twinning

Is Alamo still the operator
Markp Just saw your comment back to me in 2017. I was happy when they filed bankruptcy. They ruined everything they touched in NJ and Florida
