Want to lease old theater with option
I am searching for an old movie house to lease with a future option to buy. Must be in operation, will consider the grand old type, but would like to be able to show “scope” 70mm (would be idea) for special festivals, etc. Not looking for first run.
Makes no difference what area of the country it is located will consider all. If it the right fit, i will go for it.
If you have one or know of someone who has one on the market, email me ASAP. Even you guys who want to sell, why not consider lease with option?

For Sale: Fully Renovated Historic Maine Theatre
HOULTON, ME — The 1919 Temple Theatre, fully renovated in 2002, is being offered for sale.
The theatre, twinned in the 1980’s, features two 200 seat auditoriums, each with balcony. All theatre equipment is included.
Purchase price includes the operating theatre as a business, the land (which includes a parking lot and has room for additional construction), and two floors of the three-story theatre building, including 6500 sq, ft. of second floor rental/lease office space (the third floor of the building is privately owned in a condominium arrangement with the Masonic Temple Association.)
The location is the downtown Market Square area of Houlton, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Sites.

Castle Cinema for sale at auction on Friday!
PROVIDENCE, RI — The Castle Cinema is up for sale again, according to the Providence Journal:
The Castle Cinema appears headed for another season where the only drama is offscreen.
The Chalkstone Avenue neighborhood cinema is scheduled to be sold at a public auction at 10 a.m. on Friday.
The scheduled foreclosure sale comes less than four months after Anthony Gemma and his partners in Chalkstone Realty LLC sold the property to New Concept Entertainment Inc. on Jan. 6 in hopes that the new owners would reopen the three-screen theater.
As part of the deal, Gemma and his partners loaned the new owners $615,000 to buy the property.
“We haven’t gotten any payments since then,” Gemma said in a phone interview yesterday. “We’d like for another buyer who’d be willing to keep it as a movie theater.”The Castle, built in 1925, was among the last of a generation of neighborhood movie theaters, most of them driven out by shopping mall multiplexes where tickets and popcorn can cost as much as dinner out.

40 theater seats for sale
DALLAS, TX — We have only 40 theater seats left of the chairs that came out of theater in El Paso, Texas.
They come in rows of 20 and the price is $11.99 per chair. They have springs and are solid metal. Tan in color with old dusty fabric, but easy to recover and will last forever. The legs are solid and the seats are even adjustable as far as how fast you want them to return to the upright position. Pretty fun stuff.
