Located in the Stirchley district to the south of Birmingham. The Stirchley Empire Theatre was opened in 1912, operated by Cuthbert Morrall. Seating on one level on a flat floor with a slightly raised platform in the back, which held a few more seats. It was taken over by the Associated British Cinemas(ABC) chain in 1932.
The Empire Theatre was closed in 1943, and became an auto repair garage. By 2009 it was in use as an Enterprise car hire facility.

The Empire Cinema opened in 1912. The street address is 1250 Pershore Road, Stirchley, Birmingham. It was taken over by ABC Theatres in 1932 and closed about 1943.

Yes it was known as the Bughouse,and it was just on one level. I believe it is now a car repair center
This cinema was opened by Sydney Clifts father-in-law. Its from this Cinema, he got into the business
