The Coliseum Theatre opened in 1924, it is the largest theatre building in North Mississippi. It opened as a combination vaudeville and movie venue. The Coliseum continued as a movie theatre into the mid 1970’s. It was later restored by the city of Corinth to its original glamour.
The Coliseum Theatre has an elaborate interior with plaster molding and motifs on the walls accent marble wainscoting. The auditorium has a large stained glass fixture that provides incandescent lighting.
The exterior is in Colonial Revival style with a fully restored marquee and vertical sign.
It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
