This small-town theatre features a cream colored facade with red trim and red tile awnings. The Cole Theatre was opened on August 10, 1925 with Betty Compson in “The Female”. By 1943 it was operated by Cole Theatres Inc. which at that time were operated by the Julius Gordon chain, a subsidiary of Paramount Pictures Inc. The street level is unfinished wood, and the lobby appears to have been redone in a 1970’s basement style with woodgrained fiberboard. The marquee is very simple, and the neon appears functional.
