A small theatre in a (once) rural village of Webster, to the northeast of Rochester, NY. It was the spot for people in the Village of Webster and the surrounding town to catch a film without having to travel into the city. The facade was a simple 1940’s modernistic type front with a frosted glass trapezoidal marquee. The name “RIDGE” was spelled out in red neon. The theatre was demolished in the 1960’s to make way for the inevitable gas station.

The June 29, 1945, issue of the Webster Herald reported that the War Production Board had granted permission to Crawford Enterprises to build a movie theater at Webster. The new house, as yet unnamed, was designed by architect Michael J. DeAngelis.
