Mitchell F. Brice of Vidalia with his Pal Amusements chain opened Millen’s first Pal Theatre on April 8, 1935 with Mary Boland in “Ruggles Of Red Gap” along with an unnamed comedy short. This was also a nearby replacement of the Princess Theatre which closed around that same time. It housed a total of 454 seats.
It was remodeled in August 1958 and closed in 1960 when the theater was relocated to a newer building on Cotton Avenue and the second Pal Theatre opened there, which has its own Cinema Treasures page.
